Achieving the Millennium Development Goals
So,
I’ve been spending a lot of time analyzing the ways multiple governments, groups, and individuals are going about achieving the millennium development goals.
I’m still in the midst of deciding which ways I will leverage my own networks and resources to help realize these goals.
There are several programs and awareness campaigns. Some fun, some not. Still, it’s quite inspiring the amount of social entreprenuers that are creating measurable results. There are even members of the Hip-Hop Community exploring effective ways to “Bridge The Gap,” and aid in the realizing of these goals.
So, here are the eight millennium development goals:
Goal 1. Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger
Goal 2. Achieve universal primary education
Goal 3. Promote gender equality and empower women
Goal 4. Reduce child mortality
Goal 5. Improve maternal health
Goal 6: Combat HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases
Goal 7: Ensure environmental sustainability
Goal 8: Develop a global partnership for development
Though I understand the importance of working towards the realization of all these goals, I have been particularly focused on goals 1, 2, 3 & 8.
I’m still brainstorming, and I’m looking for some feedback.

Great post. All are extremely important goals. In trying to be utilitarian, some of these goals affect others. For instance, improving education while spurring development will hopefully have an impact on poverty. In my own opinion, I believe that the root of many issues can be solved by 2 goals on that list. Making sure people are educated and making sure people are healthy. When you have healthy children that received adequate education they will have the tools to pick up where we left off and continue to change the world.
